If your comment is a slap at Tenuta\'s skills
(which I believe it is), you either have a very short memory and/or you are the principal of the "What Have You Done For Me Lately" school. While I have seen many GT defenses over the years stink it up as badly as we did against Utah, I have NEVER seen a GT defense play as well as we did against Miami.
Tenuta is a genius. I believe his players get tired of carrying the team at times, but most of the time they play their butts off for him. Most of the time his schemes are not only successful but brilliant. I wouldn't trade him for Bud Foster or any other DC in the college game.
There are lots of GT fans who still bemoan the loss of an offense which put lots of points on the board, who are unable to shift their appreciation of "fireworks" football to the defensive side of the ball. In my mind, there's virtually no difference between the high-risk, high-reward offense Fridge used to run and the high-risk, high-reward defense Tenuta runs in terms of exciting football.
