ACC News of the day (Monday, June 23rd)

I posted earlier that I wished the ACC and the BE could cooperate to create two new conferences, one football-loaded, and one basketball-loaded. Maybe if the lawyers got out of the way, something like that could be done.

Right now, the most likely outcome IMHO is one that isn't on the ACC's table, but has been mentioned all over this and other boards: GT, FSU, and Clemson pull out of the ACC. This would please only UNC and Duke, and would be short-term expensive for the ones leaving, but might be the only real option left to them.
