ACC payouts going up to $40M per team soon?

The ACC is on the Uptick... 2020 and 2021 should be huge For the ACC and ACC Network especially for schools like Tech, Boston College, and Wake Forest who usually do not have any money...

We might have more money, but so will everyone else. We might be able to invest in our programs, but so can everyone else, including those who are already ahead of us. This doesn't close the gap. If our revenue was going up more than our rivals, it would be meaningful, but if everyone else is getting more and then spending more, the gap isn't closing.

I can think of one notable exception to that.

Depends on how it's spent??? Build new academic structures and add new majors. Close that gap that GT apparently lacks on the recruiting trail. Facilities already getting upgrade. Then we could offer the classes/majors that football-first students like.

At some point, your facilities can only be so new and so nice. The lesser-thans that get to build with new money will be closer to on par if not exactly.

Then is just comes down to who wants to wear our adidas swag opposed to the other brand.

Bruh. Athletic revenue isn't going to finance new majors and academic initiatives.
