Daniel Jones: Bust
Mitch Trubisky: Bust
Jameis Winston: Bust
Jacoby Brissett: Backup level
Tyrod Taylor: Backup level 2.0
Sam Howell: Future backup level
Kenny Pickett: Future bust

Matt Ryan: Washed

Russell Wilson: A Badger - doesn't really count
Deshaun Watson: Molests women

Lamar Jackson: Second best running back in the NFL

Sunshine: Bust. Never seen a dude get less accurate every single year. He is missing wide open receivers ALL THE TIME. He was a better passer as a freshman at South Carolina Cow College than what I'm seeing now. Never thought I would say this but . . . he's a bust.

Who did I miss?

Russell Wilson is a badger like he's a bronco

Wilson wanted to enter the NFL Draft after his junior year at NC State, but couldn't even swing an invite to the combine. Hell, he couldn't even beat out Mike Glennon for the starting job his senior year, so he transferred.

Go back and check the record. He never completed even 60% of his passes at NC State. His senior year at Wisconsin, suddenly he's completing 73%, with 33 TDs and 4 INTs and taking his team to the Rose Bowl. He started playing QB at a completely different level when he got to Wisconsin. He made his bones as a Badger.

I'm not giving the Mutts or any of our rival ACC schools credit for anything I don't have to. And if you want to credit NC State for Wilson, you probably want to credit Muttville for Justin Fields, too. öööö that.

Howell kicked butt in the Washington game I saw last week - he was the best QB on the field.

This is a ridiculous take. You apparently are going solely off stats you looked up and not memory of Wilson at NC State. He had little to no supporting cast there as he started as a true freshman, sophomore, and junior while also playing baseball. He still was able to lead them to a 9-4 record his junior year in 2010 and torched us if you don't recall. Sure he didn't have 60% completion rate but he was right below that mark in 2009 and 2010 with over 3000 passing yards each year and 59 passing TD's while also rushing for 13 TDs those 2 years. Tom O'Brien was not going to allow him to play both sports anymore and that pissed him off so he transferred to Wisconsin. He excelled more at Wisconsin because he went to a better team. They were coming off 2 seasons finishing in top 25 (16th in 2009 and 7th in 2010). Sure he raised his draft stock that year but he was already well-known and wasn't going to fall through the cracks.

Yeah that’s how i remember it all going down at NCSU. Wilson was playing summer baseball in hopes of keeping his MLB dreams alive and I’m pretty sure it overlapped with fall camp or something. NCSU coach basically told him you’re either all in or all out. He didn’t want to give baseball up so coach named Glennon the starter and Wilson transferred out.

A couple NFL MVPs, a super bowl champ, Walter Payton man of the year, a handful of perennial pro bowlers, and a few young guys with a promising career ahead of them. Not a bad list.

Tom O'Brien told him Glennon was starting the next year. THAT'S why he transferred. Hell, he never even played baseball again after transferring to Madison, so he sure as hell didn't go there because he wanted to play both sports and O'Brien wouldn't let him. He got beat out - plain and simple.

And he had ZERO draft stock before he transferred. Couldn't even get an invite to the combine.

He's a Badger.

And yet Wilson gave baseball up as soon as he transferred to Wisconsin after Glennon beat him out for the starting job.

right now he's a Bronco

You know he actually graduated from nc state, right?

He was first team ACC as a freshman and runner up for ACC POY... he increased his draft stock at Wisconsin but its disingenuous to ignore his ACC ties entirely

Was Deshaun the Walter Payton Man of the Year? Figures. Payton was a drug abuser who kept a mistress for years and had numerous other extramarital affairs, even while he publicly maintained he was happily married to his longtime wife and mother of his children. Seems like a perfect representative for the NFL. Just like Deshaun!

As for "perennial" pro bowlers . . . Jackson has been . . . twice. Deshaun three times. Ryan was four times (I guess that could be "perennial"). but he hasn't been in six years (thus "washed"). And we've already established that Wilson is a Little Fourteen product, not really ACC.

I never realized there were so many Wolfpack, Cardinal, Cow College, Tar Heel and Eagles fans here. I say öööö all those teams. Maybe one of you could start a thread gleefully touting all the great QBs from Muttville.

There is much more to the Russell Wilson v Glennon v tom O’Brien story than Wilson just getting beat out. The local Raleigh sports talk station did a 5 part podcast about it. It was definitely more about tob being pissed that Wilson wasn’t all in on football and also had to do something to appease glennon who was a much higher rated prospect than Wilson was.

O'Brien told Wilson that Glennon was the starter because he wanted Wilson to quit baseball. He didn't leave to go to Wisconsin so he could still play both, he left because it pissed him off that O'Brien did him that way. He did not get beat out by Glennon. There are tons of stories out there about it.

This. Glennon was contemplating transfer also. TOB wanted Wilson to quit baseball and he wouldn't so that persuaded TOB to name Glennon the starter, because he was going to lose one or the other so he figured he'd lose the guy that was focused on 2 sports not one.

I might be wrong, but I recall Wilson was still playing baseball and VT wanted him to focus only on football. At least that was some of it.
