ACC refs are the worst

Not that it mattered, but that hold call was total BS. That happens on every play on every down across all divisions off college FB. ACC refs suck. I mean really suck.....the worst.

ACC refs are just one step above AAC refs - easily the worst group of any P5 conference. Most of these guys aren’t even qualified to ref HS games. Any competent ref is going to end up doing SEC games.

To be fair, the ref crew today was probably the best we have seen all year. Some of those not-enough-progress calls against Miami would have been spotted bad and given to them by previous crews we have seen this year.

No argument there. Maybe the timing of the sub par calls exaggerated the frustration. Fair?

It's probably just my imagination, but it sure seems like the refs in every conference bend over backwards to protect the teams with a chance to get in the playoffs or get invited to a good bowl. Yesterday, I thought Alabama, Oregon and Clemson got the benefit of a lot of close calls.
