Has anyone watched any games on this? Does it cost anything? I'll be a nervous wreck if I have to listen on the radio. I love Wes and all, but I have to be able to see the game.

It's $5 for one-event pass.

It's better than nothing, that's for sure. (Provided it's live.)

what is this? is the game gonna be broadcast through it? i'm all for it. I've watched plenty of games on my pc and it wasn't as bad as i thought it'd be

To answer your second question directly -- yes.

The quality last season was lacking, basically choppy at times and less than stellar frame rates -- hopefully this year it will be better. It was better than nothing....Mike

p.s. never figured out how to sync up the radio stream on 790 with the ACC Select video -- as much as I enjoyed listening to Marvin Lewis and the other guy, I'd much prefer the 790 audio broadcast -- so if anyone has any bright ideas, I'm all ears.

That is a direct link to 790's stream. Since the audio will be ahead of the video most likely you'll need some way of delaying it.

Thanks Kyle.

The below is precisely the issue I was asking for help on...Mike
I have an idea for a solution, but unfortunately it requires Linux, so if you're not a Linux user then you're out of luck. It involves recording the stream to mp3 using mmsrip (http://nbenoit.tuxfamily.org/projects.php?rq=mmsrip). From there you can open the stream in a music player where you can pause and sync the audio.

I am sure there are comparable programs in windows that will rip an asf stream, but the way windows does file locking and buffering may prevent you from opening the file correctly in a music player.

I tried it during the '06/'07 hoops season (with a DSL hookup) - It rebuffered so often that it was almost not worth watching. In addition, any game that was telecast anywhere was only shown on a delayed basis (if at all). Since I don't live anywhere near the ATL, and only got to see the occasional nationally-televised game, I was really disappointed.

Don't know what they offer in FB - Any chance they will be showing the Duke or UNC games?

yea i've had trouble with this as well not living in the 790 area. My XM feed is so far behind the game, almost a play and a half.
