ACC toughest schedules- Georgia Tech

I just love how year after year, UNC and the Canes get talked up in the preseason and then when all is said and done ... all that's said is why are they done?

Still, we can't count any conference matchup right now as a given win.
If we can get off to a decent start, say at least 3-2 headed into Miami, (4-1 if we play out of our minds), then we've got a chance to have a solid season. We can't come out of Miami worse than 2-4 though, and we shouldn't.
Then again ....

If anyone has the info on how they schedule, post it. My guess is rather than a computer or a formula (that might be a starting point), most of it is done in a back room by a few power brokers, and we ain't one of them. For a number of years UNC and a few others just by coincidence managed to have an off week before facing the triple option. Then, for good measure we would get a Thursday night game off a Saturday for a short week.

I don't remember the specifics, but I feel like the bye week thing finally got addressed in the last few years of CPJ's tenure. Something about an ACC team should only have to face another ACC team coming off a bye at most once a year (maybe?). Something like that. I also kind of feel like those short weeks got minimized in more recent years too (i.e. having a bye the Saturday before a Thursday night game). Because yeah, before that it felt like we played an inordinate number of teams coming off extra prep time.

Yeah, GT and FSU got the acc to only allow 1 game per season where your opponent had a bye, but you did not.

Last year preseason we were going to have the toughest ACC schedule and the 3rd toughest in FBS. We ended up having the 10th toguhest in the ACC and the 62nd toughest in FBS. About the only thing they can do half way right is pick between Alabama, Clemson, Osu and the mutts for who wins the national championship every year with maybe an occasional Notre Dame, Auburn and LSU chucked in every once in a while. To sell fishwraps west of the Mississippi they'll say Texas, Oklahoma and USC have a chance but everybody knows they don't.

We’re winning the conference. I bet money on it.

You and me both, baby

We need to start winning so Tech is seen as a tough game on every one else’s schedule.

I also root for Arkansas. For the last few years they have always had the toughest schedule in the SEC West mostly because everybody else got to play Arkansas.

Damn, second worst odds in the ACC per Draftkings.

Clemson: +145
FSU: +150
Louisville: +1000 (!?)
UNC: +1000
Miami: +2000
Pitt: +2000
NC State: +2200
Duke: +4000
Wake: +8000
Cuse: +8000
Virginia Tech: +15000
BC: +15000
Tech: +20000
UVA: +30000

Sad I can't bet on us winning the Coastal anymore.
