Does anyone know an actual attendance number for the game? The only number I've been able to find (~56,000) is the number of tickets sold, but obviously there were not 56,000 people in attendance.

I doubt they actually keep that statistic. ESPN.com lists the attendance as 53,947, but like you said that's obviously the number of tickets sold.

Looked like 20,000 to me. Whole upper deck seemed empty, end zones were sparse, lower sidelines were half full at best.

For what it's worth, Sporting News agrees with you guys.

2. New location? Unless the ACC gets the coveted Florida State-Miami rematch it would love to see, maybe it'd be better to move the title game out of Florida for good, because the locals just aren't supporting this game. Or how about making it a home game for somebody? The ticket distribution was listed as 53,927, but there were maybe half that many rear ends in the stands.

I like that idea. How about best won-loss/head-to-head/BCS rank determine location?
