Not at all the case Yukon...

Not true at all. It is more difficult, but not done.

Remember that should we win out...a big should...

Miami has to lose two more amongst, NCState, Virginia Tech, and Boston College...we need them to beat Virginia.

VaTech has to lose three amongst Boston College, Georgia Tech, FSU, and Miami...we need them to beat Virginia.

Virginia has to lose at least three more amongst NCState, Wake Forest, Miami, and Virginia Tech. They can lose three...end up in a three-way tie with other teams but lose the tie break of divisional record. I would prefer them to lose 4 and make it easy. They continue to be the worst 7-1 in the country by far....most 3 loss teams are better than them....they are just getting the benefit of every call and every break right now.

I know one thing, Maryland got the shaft on that 4th down spot. Geees, the officials were terrible.

Yep that call was horrible but it did likely put a nail in our coffin. NCS is not going to beat UVA and BC, VPI and Wake are just not strong enough to count on them all winning.

But Red, Miami only has to lose one more game. They aren't the problem. Either is VPI IMO (either they are good and have a good record or they aren't and will fail), it's UVA.

But I was just going to post on here that we should be focused on winning out and there is a chance we can pick up a major bowl.

The bowls don't like us after losing to UGA but if we win out, go 9-3, I think we'd get a very serious look at the Peach Bowl, Gator Bowl or even BCS Bowl this year.

The ACC is very likely to have teams losing a lot in the last month and definitely could have third best teams with three losses. But we'd be the only team with momentum.

The Peach Bowl isn't going to take Miami or FSU this year. They won't want UVA, Wake. So it'll be VPI, Clem and us. KY has assured itself of a good bowl and they will politic for the Outback/Cap One. Tennesse/S.C./UGA/Aub will end up at the Peach and all will bring enough fans to fill Atlanta hotels when playing us.

But we are beat up and winning out now is not looking good. We could do it though and be rewarded.

.

that is a bold statement...I hope we win out but I haven't seen anything this year that would lead me to beleive we SHOULD (as opposed to could) beat VT, UNC and especially UGA and especially w/ ? about TC's health. November is rough for us.

I'm pretty sure you misread his post.

If we weren't already toast

We were already toast. :P

I listed to the Miami-FSU game on the FSU broadcast network. Man alive, what a wacky game.
