If you had to pick would you rather miraculously go to the ACCCG and lose to the dogs going 8-4 or win out the rest of the season go 9-3 but don't go to the ACCCG?

I think i'm 9-3 with a win over the dogs. The numbers look better and we get the monkey off our back. But, if we were guaranteed an ACC championship. I'd go 8-4 with a dog loss.

i sure am full of the hypotheticals today.

Is this a serious question? Last year I would have been fine with an ACCCG win and a loss to UGA. This year I just want the hurting to stop. Just make it stop!!

An ACC championship or a Ugag Loss? I would take the ACC championship. Now, if we won a few ACC championships ... then I might change my mind. Till then, the answer is automatic.

As much as I want to win EVERY game, I'd just as soon go 1-11 if the 1 were a win over that bunch from over yonder.

you should ban yourself after asking this question. :laugher:

After this season, the way its gone, UGA is the only way to save it.

I interface way too much with UGA fans to want anything more than beating them this year. I can't take another loss. They are definitely beatable this year but I worry about Stafford punishing our secondary. If Miami could hit their receivers, we would have been in trouble today. I'm very happy for the win though....

Normally I would say an ACCCG victory, but:

--with losses already to BC, UVA and Maryland, somehow a three-loss ACC championship sees a little hollow.

--It's been six years since GT has defeated UGA --if GT does not win @BDS this year then next season in Athens UGA can tie GT's eight-game win streak in the series --I really do not ever want to see that mark equaled --and I'm tired of losing close games to UGA.

This season I definitely would take the UGA win over an ACCCG win.

Beating Georgia would mean far more to me than beating BC or Wake. But I think that means we are in the wrong conference.

However, that is my answer only for this season.

If, in another season, a scenario came to be that we lost to UGa then won the ACCCG then won our BCS game and finished in the top 5 then I'd take that over a UGa win if beating UGa meant we lost the ACCCG, went to a minor bowl.

Its not as easy to answer when I really consider what becomes possible by winning the ACCCG.

Beating UGa is not the only reason we have a football team.

Loosing to UGA and then winning the ACCCG would be a very hollow victory. All you would hear all year is UGA fans saying "We'd be champions if we played in the 'All Clowns Conference'". I don't ever want to see the ACC Champion getting beat by a rival in another conference that can't even make it to their own conference championship, it raises doubts about the whole conference.

This is a no-brainer....we went through this discussion in a nauseating manner.

If you are a big picture person...the ACCCG.

The ACCCG allows you to play in a prime-time BCS bowl game with half the country watching. Nationwide among fans, nationwide amongst the media, and to the majority of recruits the BCS appearance will be what is noticed and remembered far longer...and will have the most impact.

I would prefer to get both of course.

Tech fans talk alot of smack about UGA...but when it comes right down to it the average GT does not care about football or that game that much or we would not be giving our season ticket seats to them...and inviting them to go with us to the game (I have NEVER understood that one!). I dread the home game against UGA every other year because it is embarrasing to look at the crowd.
