according to this article, Tech may not get Gator

"With the loss, Georgia Tech must wait until today to learn its bowl game destination. John Swofford, the ACC commissioner, said at halftime of Saturday's game the Gator Bowl would not be obligated to invite Georgia Tech for a return trip to Jacksonville."

Moot point but that is what it said.

ESPN: GT vs WV in Gator

My feelings may change over the month, but right now I have no interest in watching GT, particularly with RB at QB, play in the Gator Bowl.

It is nice for the team to have the opportunity to play on New Years Day so I am happy for them, but unless there is a major shake-up on the offensive side of the ball, I really cannot put myself through watching another abysmal offensive performance.

I was out of town all weekend and this is my first post after Saturday's debacle, and I am about as disgusted as I have been in a long while. There is no excuse for what took place Saturday.

I cannot understand what goes through a HC's mind to watch his starting QB throw for under 30% on consecutive weeks and not even give thought to giving the backup one series, one freakin' series, to see if he can get something going on offense. Is there a total lack of confidence in TB? If this is the case, the why does GT not have an adequately prepared back-up QB on the roster.

Last thing for now, RB's behavior, his performance was bad enough, but his on-field behavior just made me sick. He was mouthing off after getting hit on the sidelines after his first carry. And he mouthed off the entire game. Yet, he had nothing to say to the media after the game. When you have performed as badly as he has, I would think you would just shut your mouth, get in the huddle and channel your energy towards completing a pass. In all honesty, and I'm sorry if this sounds harsh but it's just a fact with me, if the guy did not have a GT on the side of his helmet I would probably relish his failures.

Agreed. I'm amazed at how little attention that incident received.

On espn.com, I just saw Troy Smith giving an interview about Florida being picked for the national championship game.

I couldn't imagine Reggie ever having the poise or the class to talk on national television. Chan hasn't used Taylor because he didn't want to divide the team. Now, he would divide the team by keeping Reggie, and by that, I mean pitting the players against the coaches.
