Ack! Honeycutt and PJ are Questionable

Ahem

Sure sounds like Braine has given up on a record better than 6-5. Better than 6-5 would surely throw GT into Meineke Bowl territory, but they've probably already decided on Clemson. We've probably been told that there's no place for Yellow Jackets in Gator & Peach territory & that the Champ Sports Bowl doesn't want GT back for a 2nd straight yr with a 2nd straight 6-5 record to try to sell.
Ergo, Braine can lobby for the Boise Bowl or he can go shopping, with the ACC, for a non tie-in Bowl. I'm really glad that the Liberty is listening. It's far more likely that the Rambling Wrecks play the Miners from the Univ of Texas @ El Paso than it is that the Wrecks play O'Leary's Golden Knights from Central Florida.
With a leak like this in the papers, now, make plans for the Liberty Bowl vs the Conference USA title winner!!!!!!

Re: Ahem

The Liberty Bowl is a lot better than the Muffler Bowl. It has a long tradition, a better location, a better payout, a better time slot (1 PM vs. 11 AM), and better exposure (ESPN vs. ESPN2).

I'd say the opposite is true of Braine - that he is working hard to get us the best bowl possible no matter what our record. We sure as heck don't want to end up 7-4 and stuck in Boise.

Re: Ahem

POSTER'S TOPIC: PJ and Honeycutt injured. Not bowls.

Now on to the topic.

I hope we withhold them both from the Miami game. We need to do the best we can vs. the Canes them and try not to get anyone else hurt. We need PJ and Honeycutt too badly against UGAg to risk them at Miami.

Victory over UGAg > Victory over Miami.
