If there was an easy way to actually put some money on this I'd do it, but while news is going to be slow for the next couple weeks and months, lets have some fun. Obviously DB is going to retire in the next 6 months to a year, my guess is likely before the start of the next basketball season, if not football.

Post you're bet on the day that the new AD will be announced. Don't worry about a time, I know some of you are that anal, but I'm not. Closest to the pin wins a drink or two at my tailgate next year. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/drink1.gif

My guess, January 17th.

heh, perhaps. We'll go with the standard, 11:59 is today, 12 is tommorrow. Would be a helluva time to make an announcemnet thougn /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugher.gif

Soon. A swift kick in the pants and this 'god' is off our agenda. Upside down from Homer Rice. Actually beesmerches
our record. Good riddance and if it's Hewitt, take hime with you. He's good but he ain't that good. It's politics and not fire, people.

I must have lost my mind. I suddenly don't even understand what is being written. Not disagree mind you, just flat out don't understand.

Is it me? I am getting worried!

Hewitt IS that good. It would be a shame to see him go, but DB has to go. I don't know if CPH would leave right away if DB left. I know his ties to DB, but even CPH had to say "WOW" when DB made his comments. Could be a win win.

We'd hate to lose Hewitt, but we can't be held hostage. I'd rather have a new AD and a new BB coach than to have to keep Braine in order to keep Hewitt. I would hope by this time, though, PH's loyalty lies with Tech more than with his AD.

Well said. I am of the mindset though that if CPH has two-to-three good years here in the immediate future and Larry Brown steps away from the Knicks (you know he won't stay for more than 5 years) then CPH would probably not only seek, but get the job.

We play more games as disjointed as Wednesday, he'll be on no one's NBA hot list. Unlike football, we have gobs of talent in basketball and were poorly coached. We are behind a bit on talent in football and make up for it in effort.

I don't know if I believe all of this AD stuff. Remember earlier in the year when supposedly Damon Evans was going to resign at UGA?

Coach Paul Hewitt said that he would be at Georgia Tech as long as Dave Braine is. He did NOT say that he would leave Georgia Tech if Braine left.

Don't read more into it than what is there.
