I am so mad I cannot post correctly.
Maybe I should not post.
After lurking on a few message boards this is my opinion of the state of Tech Football.
1. Fire the special teams coach now. How many punts have we blocked this year? How many kick offs and punts have we returned for touchdowns? Everyone knows the answers. How many turnovers has the special teams group committed? What does our special-teams coach do during game prep?
2. Get a tough teacher/scholar of Quarterbacks play for our Quarterbacks coach. We need someone who has experience dealing with the pressures of playing Quarterback teaching our Quarterbacks. In my opinion the Quarterbacks are not getting the “tough love” that is required. (See Fridge and Spurrier for details) I don’t think the Offensive Coordinator has the time or knowledge of the QB position to split duties.
3. Strength and Conditioning. We do not have either good strength or conditioning. Most injuries occur when an athlete is out of shape or tired. We have had a lot of injuries this season.
4. Get David Kelly back as our receivers coach. There has been a considerable drop in discipline in our receiver corps since David left. I am tired of hearing that our receivers ran the wrong rout. I am also tired of seeing dropped balls.
5. If Coach Gailey wants to keep the word former from being placed in front of his name then he better find some spark in his coaching / motivation. You can tell when there is something awry in the coaching staff. You could see it when Bill Lewis was coaching and it was there when Dun in was at Ga. Players quit on coaches for many reasons. I will not pretend to know what is going on in the field house but I will say that something is terribly wrong.
6. Recruiting. Recruiting. Recruiting. From what I have heard our recruiting meetings are non-existent and mismanaged at best. The prevailing attitude is to bring in whomever we can get and coach them up. I don’t need to tell any one what that attitude will get us in a few years.
What does all this mean?
I means that if we are still making the same stupid / undisciplined mistakes next year then it will be time for a wholesale change in our coaching ranks.

I agree. My jury came in yesterday with the loudest verdict that I have ever heard. Guilty. We need to get rid of CG fast, but I don't think it is possible. We will probably have to endure him for 2 more years before Braine has the guts to fire him. I wish he would resign for the sake of Tech. Yesterday is still too hard to believe. We are at the lowest of lows. Recruiting is down the tubes as far as I am concerned. This a train wreck of biblical proportions.

PMGold, thanks for reading the posts 1st & soaking it in. I agree on all pts, but would make a slight adjustment on ranking:
1)STs are awful & coach must GO.
2)QBs never got to scoring & coach must go.
3)WRs just did not play up & coach must go.
4)Recruiting, recruiting, recruiting
5)Strenth coach needs serious look. Maybe 1 yr
6)Gailey better take the wake up seriously.
