Obviously, this is a run-oriented scheme, but do you think people will be surprised by our passing game?

CPJ has repeatedly said that JN has a better arm than people give him credit for and that there is a special package for Booker. Do we bring in Booker as a change-of-pace thower? I thought our passing game looked a lot better than our running game in the spring game.

I've heard that the lack of passing at Navy was due to lack of passing skill at the QB position and academy demands on SAs that lessened practice time for passing.

No. This was one of the bigger items that Paul Johnson scoffed at was the notion that we wouldn't pass a lot. I would imagine that no coach is coming in with a preconceived notion that we'll only be running one style of football.

Other coaches know Johnson is a good coach and that he'll utilize the weapons we have, be it by the ground game, air game, or the sea game he's been instituting since practices were closed to the public.

I heard he is implementing some space game as well. We saw that against Fresno State last year with Booker's TD to JJ.

I think the experts in the media will be surprised and make comments about it. And then Coach Johnson will offer great quotes to their stupid questions. But I don't think it will surprise any coaches that we have a passing game. Just surprise them when it's coming.
