I was browsing AJC when I came across their "Who will win" pages, one for us and one for Ugay.

77% think we will beat Vippy Sue.

But here's what I found interesting... I went on the Ugay/Vandy page to cast my vote for Vanderbilt (who I truly believe will win the game), and it came up with very odd results. Check 'em out for yourself (and cast a vote for Vanderbilt while you're at it):

Georgia's not very good, but Vandy's terrible. They've reverted immediately back to where they were before last year. They weren't even that great last year, just fortuitous.

I imagine it's a combo of Tech fans and depressed ugag fans. I'll be surprised if Vandy's within 2 TDs.

If Vandy (who lost to ARMY!?!?!) beats UGA, then I will most likely die of laughter. I'll go to Athens and lean out of the window laughing and yelling the score, then laughing some more. Then after calming down, the reality of what just happened will hit me and I will be duly worried about our little matchup in Nashville...

They beat ugag in 06, one of their only 4 wins that year. Maybe ugag totally disintegrates again, but not too likely.

As I recall, the Dawgs were so thrilled to beat Vandy at the last second in the Dawgs' 2007 National Championship season that they jumped all around the field like they had just defeated the Russians in Olympic hockey. Vandy is capable of giving them a game.

I don't see Vanderbilt winning tomorrow, as much as I'd love for the mutts to continue their downward spiral. I think they win tomorrow, drop the bye week, get smashed by Florida, beat the mighty Tennessee Tech, split Auburn and Kentucky and obviously lose when they collapse across the finish line into Atlanta.

Not that I think it will happen, but if UGA loses tomorrow then they will probably not achieve bowl eligibility.

If they win then the worst they will do is probably 6-6.

Agreed. If they do figure out some impossible way to lose the game, I think they'll have one more win against Tennessee Tech. But outside of that, they'll likely lose the rest of their games and be in danger of getting run over in all of them. Georgia's in a dangerous spot, because if they can't get a little turned around tomorrow the second half of the season is going to be extremely long in the cesspool.

Here's hoping. :drinking:

I wouldn't underestimate the 'Dores. They gave LSU a run for awhile during that game, and they're certainly looking to atone for some ugly losses this year.

They somehow always give the pups a run for their $$$, no matter how good the mutts may be. Also, its Vanderbilt's homecoming game and my guess is that if they want to win one more game this year, it's this one.

I'm just sayin', don't be surprised if Vanderbilt gives 'em a scare/beatdown.

Are you guys the same people that said UGA would dominate Tennessee? I remember reading a lot of posts saying that and thinking that it wasn't going to happen.

There are two problems with them doing bad though:

1) They could be 5-6 coming into our game NEEDING that win so they are actually bowl eligible.

2) If they are having a terrible season by the end then we will be all they care about. They would probably consider their season OK if they could just beat us.

Either way it will be like cornering a wild animal in that game. Our guys better be just as focused as they were last year and not look at it as a "sure win".

On another note...17 hours until kickoff!!!

My expectations are that this team beats lesser teams, regardless of the other team's record or bowl situation or whatever. I expect us to have our own reasons to be motivated.
