AJC- Nesbitt Interview

I stopped reading when the interviewer said yall[sic] twice.

I did skip down to the last line though, and it was totally worth it.

Nesbitt is really growing into the leader role quite well. He understands to have a short memory and never get to high or low in the game. Sounds like the players are understanding the offense a lot better. Can't wait to see the "new wrinkles". Also glad to see he got the last question right!

Burnett is the fastest on the team with Dwyer or Edwards second.. I would not have guessed that...

That doesn't surprise me, but I would throw in Cooper, Blair, Jones and Baybay into the mix. The great thing is there are so many names to consider when asked that question.

When I asked Luke Cox that question near the end of last season, he said; "Ain't many people as fast as Jon."

While the last line is by far the best of the interview, I'm glad he said this about the Peach Bowl:

JN: People will go back and watch the film. If you really go back and watch that film we beat ourselves.

I know we've been saying it, but it's good to know that the players think the same thing. I really like the mentality Coach Johnson is instilling. The "only we can cause us to lose a game" mentality.

We're gonna beat UGA up and down the field next season :) That's what I deciphered from the interview.

Awesome interview, but that has to be one of the most poorly edited pieces in the history of journalism, and I'd expect nothing less from those hacks at the AJC.

Poor editing, no doubt. Thankfully, Roddy's responses are what we read it for and not great journalism.

Love the confidence from the player, but sorry, you get beat that bad it's not because you beat yourself. We got dominated.

It's a blog not a news report. So it's probably not edited. By the way, it's Josh not Roddy. Must be the poor editing. I kid, I kid.

I was responding to one of the previous poster's statements about editing.

Joltin Jacket said: "Awesome interview, but that has to be one of the most poorly edited pieces in the history of journalism, and I'd expect nothing less from those hacks at the AJC."

I was saying that it's not about the journalism, it's about the content. I was pointing out that we shouldn't care if it is edited well. We should read and enjoy it because JOSH'S answers are quality.

Also, newspapers edit even their blogs.

Finally, that was my mistake on saying Roddy but if you go back to the original post, you will notice that I was the original poster. The title gives away the fact that I knew it was Nesbitt.

I had just finished reading a thread on another site about Roddy Jones when I responded to said poster so his name was still fresh on my mind.

But thanks

:soapbox:

So we Tech fans complain that we don't get enough coverage from the AJC or it's biased coverage (I generally agree with this), but when we do get coverage, we focus half of our comments on the poor editing or the fact that the interviewer said "y'all." It's a freakin' blog people. It's not meant to be a well-polished news article. It's meant to read as a conversation. Get over yourselves.

Last I checked, the AJC is a southern newspaper, Georgia Tech is a southern school, and most Tech fans are southern.

What again is the problem with saying, "yall"?

I don't have a problem with people saying it, it just kinda bugs me when people write it out.

Joltin' Jacket was the only one complaining about the journalism.

Why do we Tech fans have to take what one person says and apply it to the whole fanbase?

Joltin Jacket has no fingers on his left hand. I'm sure he couldn't type much better.

It's all in how it's punctuated:

"you all" contracts to "y'all", which grates on my nerves.
"ya all" contracts to "ya'll", which I have no problem with.

;)
