I must have missed that bus.
I didn't know for sure that JT would be gone, but I have just accepted the fact that he would be with a new HC in town.
JT may be the best in the business but if he and PJ are not on the same page, best JT leaves and let PJ bring in who he is compatible with.

I think it is just your typical regime change thing....particularly since he was a HC candidate. Similar to when Braine told Gailey MacWhorter needed to go. The JT change is being kept as quiet and unofficial as possible so that can focus on the bowl game.
The good news is that it appears Giff, BJ, and Kelly are going to stay on staff...and possibly Hunter.

Sounds like their not doing a very good job if everyone on the internet already knows.

I'm really doubting the Van Gorder rumors now. Mainly if there is truth in WM being rejected for being a mutt.

I'm feeling that PJ will bring in a new experienced DC that has a good track record, like Ellis Johnson or Van Gorder. This may very well be the most important hire or in fact decision, he makes. This has a chance to set the tone for his tenure here.

We know that with PJ we will be good on offense, the key to his real success here will always be defense. He can and most likely will keep Giff here for awhile without giving him the DC job, only because of their relationship and friendship.

Imho. we need an experienced tough DC right from the start, to set the tone for PJ's regime. Richt hired Van Gorder the 1st year he was there and he set a tone for a nasty good defense, Im hoping he may come on board with PJ, Ellis J. would be a good pickup if Van Gorder doesn't happen.
 
Don't want van gorder. He totally F**ked up GSU, until hatcher came to the rescue. however, it would be a slap in the face to the pups if we did hire him.
