Does anyone find it odd that we are kicking off a new and exciting brand of football downtown, with a new head coach, and holding the inaugural spring game to introduce an exciting offense TOMORROW, and there is not one mention of it in today's paper?

By the way, they are real excited about some Georgia State Football with NUMEROUS articles and a full page ad promoting GSU in 2010?... this paper is horrible covering GT sports, just my opinion.

Don't let that fish wrap paper get to you. We all know their MO

Did you also notice the former UGA GREAT and NFL Player Tim Worley was arrested in Marietta? The UGA AJC Alumni paper buried that in the back of the sports page near the golf scores.

To all attending The Spring Game, let's raise hell, have fun and show the players and coaches we are ready for Fall Football.

They're not gonna give us the coverage we want (notice I did not say deserve) until we win big on the field, or we establish a huge fanbase in the metro Atlanta area. Period. End of story.

Every thing you're saying has been said before, ad nauseum.

No need to bitch and moan about it.

Unless it makes you feel better, of course.:o

ps. don't forget, 790 sucks, too.

I'm pretty sure if we wanted to give them money for a full page ad for the spring game, they would take it. I don't think they'd turn down our money just because we're GT...I could be wrong though. Also I agree with dressedcheeseside. This should all be taken care of within the next two or three years, hopefully.

This isn't really anything new for the AJC. It's one of the worst newspapers I've ever read, and that's before I take their "slight" UGA bias into account. It's a regional paper that panders to locals, most of which happen to be Dawg or Falcons fans. It's only redeeming value is being able to roll it up and light a grill.

Ever wondered what the IQ of an average AJC employee is? Take a look at this and continue to ponder that question:

Headline on the AJC Sports front page:

QB a Position of Concern

When you click the link, here's the headline of the actual article:

Johnson not worried about Jackets' QBs

Considering most of them graduated from UGAg, probably not very high.

Uh...I don't know if they changed this in the last two minutes, but it says right on the front page "Coach says he's not worried about position long-term, just a little concerned during the spring." Convenient to leave that out. It then also says in the article "But no, Tech coach Paul Johnson says he's not worried about quarterbacks this season, or in the future./Concern seems a better, more measured word for it."
