AJC's article

This was today in AJC:
http://www.ajc.com/gatech/content/sports/gatech/stories/2007/11/28/techreport_1129.html

So if Hatcher or Johnson are not contacted by now, are they pretty much out of consideration? (Unless they are lying.)

That's what I'm wondering...seems like Johnson was never in the running based on Dems reports, but those reports also include Hatcher as a 2nd tier candidate, maybe 2nd tier means he has been mentioned by not really considered?

If Hatcher was lying, I doubt he would've said that he would be interested in talking to us if we did contact him.

I'm trying to remember when it came to be that journalists took it upon themselves to recommend a coach.

Tech and UGa have been through a lot of coaching changes and I just never remember a paper taking such an assertive stand as to who should be hired.

I guess they are setting themselves up for a bunch of I-told-you-so articles for years to come if we don't go to the BCS every year.

Or a stifling silence if we do.

Well, they have to write about something.

Well, they have to write about something.
Well they do have a back up option: Templates.

Here's a sample:

UGa To Ink Six-Star Recruit
By: Leg B Humper

[insert name of UGa recruit here] is the missing peice Uga needs to [insert goal they fall short of every year here]. No other school in the SEC will be able to match the awesomeness of [recruit's name again] and, in fact, many of the commits to other SEC schools are switching to UGa just so they can say they played with [recruit's name again].

And while this is not an editorial, please indulge me for a moment as I am veklempt at the thought of [recruit's name again] playing for the red and black. If only Wally Butts was here.. sniff, sniff .. to see him take the field for the first time.

I have already taken the liberty of contacting several tailors in the area to have [recruit's name again] measured for a suit so that he looks sharp at the Heisman ceremony next year. That's right, AJC readers, freshmen ARE eligible for the Heisman. Did you know that the Heisman trophy was named after John Heisman who coached at the University of Pennslyvania? That's right folks. Yet another UGa player - I mean, recruit - is the odds-on favorite to win an award named after an Ivy-League coach!

Ha! Nice.

Ok, I meant they have to write about something regarding our HC situation, other than "we don't know didley"
