Al Golden says, "Thank you, Georgia Tech"

So Mack brown or Jon gruden to Miami?

Warren Sapp and several other famous alums have been openly tweeting tonight that he should be fired tonight. I'll be surprised if he makes it through the week after that game today.

The guy at Temple is doing better than Golden did. Canes should consider.

Al is too good a coach for Miami. He should have never gone to that hell hole. Maybe Mark Richt will move down there after we beat Georgies ass this year.

Go Jackets!

I always thought the U should have gone with someone like CMR and tell all the crazy U fans, we Are redefining the Miami program.

There's nothing that could have happened last night to take the heat off that man. If all at once last night we had blown Florida State out, Georgia had played Florida and blown them out, Georgia Southern destroyed South Florida and Georgia State annihilated Central Florida, it still would not have taken any heat off of Al Golden.

It's interesting that their AD has gone from saying that Golden wouldn't be reassessed until after the season to saying there's no timetable in place. I don't see any value to the program overall in keeping a lame duck head coach. Fire him, but your ticket for the coaching carousel. The earlier you do, the better chance you give yourself for getting a good coach.

Saw a guy on College Football Final say people need to stop calling for Golden's job, particularly that the airplane banners need to stop, because Al Golden has a wife and kids.

I honestly think Al Golden is one of the coaches that has coached against us pretty well. I hope he's gone.

Man, I'd love it if Richt went there and UGA made an emotional hire.

This. I'm one of the people who does not believe it's impossible for Richt and Georgia to part ways. Even if Richt loses to Florida, Auburn and us this year which would be catastrophic when combined with their losses to Alabama and Tennessee, they still should not fire him but if enough of the barking turns to whining, I think they may.

If they do, the odds are in favor of the next coach being a Muschamp/Derek Dooley hire rather than the Saban/Urban that they're convinced they can get. And I would very much love to see the next Jim Donnan in Athens when we aren't building our way back from something like the B*** L**** era.

Those delushional rednecks will regret the day they fire probably, the best HC they have ever had.

I would *love* for UGA to fire Richt. They won't do it unless the money people start pulling out, but it would be nice.

It might take Richt deciding he wants a change and going somewhere like Miami or Texas if/when that job is vacant.

I really can't imagine him leaving UGA for Miami. Their stadium is a crap-hole and the fans are insane.

Texas would be tough to say no to, but I have to think they called before hiring Strong, right?

Texas is parallel. He won't make that move, unless fired.

A better move would be USCw.b which is also parallel but further away.

The sad thing from Miami's standpoint anyway, is that the game really wasn't as close as the score indicated ... :bowrofl:

I would say Texas is a step up simply because they have such a huge brand and fanbase. It's probably not any easier to win there than at U[sic]GA, but doing so would be a bigger deal. In my made up hierarchy of college football programs, Texas is in tier 1A along with Alabama and Notre Dame. All three really have national brands, and Georgia does not.

That said, I can't see Richt leaving either.

I think if we beat um, that might put more heat on Golden than any of their remaining games. Due to his record against us.
