That punt out of the end zone Saturday was a thing of beauty.

We are #2 in the country in Net Punting.

He was amazing Saturday and kept the field position in GT's favor for much of the game, that punt out of the end zone may very well have won the game. Miami had the ball for what seemed like the entire third quarter and the punting and defense did a heck of a job holding Miami to 3 points.

does he even have any real competition for being ACC first team? I've been to all the games (or a damn wedding...) so far this year so I havent been able to keep up with all the other teams as much as I normally do, but I can't think of any competition he would have in that area at all, and very likely potential All American honors too.

Maryland's punter is putting up some pretty decent numbers but his punt coverage must be worse than ours. His average per punt is better than Brooks (or at least it was before last week's games) but Brooks net punting number is better.

I made a little video montage of DB's kicks, thought you guys would enjoy it. Here it is.

Durant Brooks is one of the reasons we beat scUM on Saturday. When backed up in our own in endzone, he completely flips the field position in GT's favor with a 63 yard punt, with the final punt of the game he booms one that makes the return man backpedal so much, he drops it giving GT the ball and the win. This guy is already ranking up with the best of the best in GT punting history.

I would be shocked if he is not an All-ACC or an All-American at the end of the year. He should also be in serious condsideration for the Best Punter award. Hell if he keeps it up, he should go to NYC with CJ and be considered for the Heisman Trophy!!

He's an incredible punter. Not only does he have an amazingly strong leg, but he is very good at getting the ball within the 10 on shorter punts. Is he a Sr or a Jr? Too bad his talent wasn't noticed/developed earlier.

Adam Podlesh from Maryland has done a good job, but Durant has been very solid. He is a Jr. and he has been a great addition to what could be a very very memorable season.

He attended JC at GMC after graduating from private school here in Macon.

Really a standout year for him.

thanks beej. I ran the cursor over the text looking for it, but I must have missed it the first time.

Guess I'll wait until I get home. It's blocked here at the school where I teach.
