According to Rivals, GT will be getting another commitment today. Does not say who.

My guess is Sidney Haynes the big Wide Out or Nick Claytor the Huge OT. Both have been reported seen at many Spring practices.

Getting rid of David Wilson was the best thing Chan Gailey has done next to beating Auburn twice and Miami on the road. DW sucked. These new guys seem to be kicking some major ass.
 
But BOR, I think those two guys are both just one stars. I thought we were over our limit?
 
Commitment Not Today...

Rivals is now reporting the prospect (unnamed) is merely a huge Ga Tech lean, yet he did not make his commitment this evening.

And yet an article was written about his commitment... He was even quoted as saying, "I just committed to Georgia Tech." /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wtf.gif

Haynes was scheduled to be at practice last night as the staff was expecting his committment. He wasn't able to make it to practice which delayed his committing. The article states he committed to CCG.

Any word on when his decision will be made public? I wish that NICK Claytor would step up and committ as well...then we'd be off to a wonderful start...of course assuming that these guys wouldn't decommitt b/w now and forever from now til signing day.

Haynes is onboad and Clator will probably not make a decision until the end of football season.

Cedric Everson and his apparent liklihood of committing to GT. All I can say is... "WOW". This kid has 38 offers from every major school in the country and is from Michigan. All State as a Sopmore AND a junior and the 100 meter track champion. Crazy enough, he is only 16 years old.

Whoever is running recruiting this year is freaking awesome and this staff seems to finally "get it" with big time players. We got Sidney Haynes and Joseph Gilbert. The safety from Carrolton is apparently very high on us, and we may be in the lead for Nesbitt. Add Cedric Everson to the list... we may have our best class in years.

This is going to be fun to watch.

God, I hope you are right. If we can just step up the quality of our recruits a significant notch or two then I believe the coaches can coach them up enough to produce a team capapble of beating UGAy and maybe getting to the ACC championship game.

Of course this is assuming the offense can score an average of 25 points per game in the future (as opposed to the 18 points per game in the CG era)...

gojackets.com says that Everson has 48 Offers for scholarships! Incredible.....what a moment it would be to get him to committ and stay firm throughout the upcoming season....Imagine what his mailbox must look like on a daily basis!

Yeah getting this kid would be trully amazing, and just what our secondary needs given its current lack of depth. Maybe a Marius/Everson tandem? Could be a hell of a secondary, allowing for even more safety blitzes.

HOLY S***. He runs a 4.29 forty and has an offer from USC. And no, I don't mean South Carolina. To say I'd be ecstatic if he does commit would be a great understatement.

It is lookin good for us so FAR....WE can only hope that somehow we could seal the deal....although nothing will be signed on for quite some time since they'll all be VERBAL committs for awhile.
Wonder why his STAR rating isn't any higher if 48 colleges have offered him....must be something REALLY SPECIAL. Anyone know how/why we were able to get in on the top of his list? It is awesome! Imagine the wave of committs that are riding the fence that may decide to come our way w/ these early decisions....HATS OF TO THE COACHES RECRUITING HIM and I can only hope they'll be able to bring it HOME....As we all know none of the coaches will back off of recruiting him even with a VERBAL to GT if he finally decides to go w/ us...it's gonna be a FIGHT to the very end... Okay, one more time. One star ratings mean the player has not been rated yet. The vast majority of kids do not have a rating at this point in the year. There is no way to determine the quality of a player by looking at their stars today, even if you completely buy into the methodology.
