Any chances we see a 5 man line on Saturday...

Anything to beef up our chances against the run. Let Brezina play the nose. Put Gerris on the weak side where his size won't be a disadvantage and his speed will be an advantage.

Keyman and D. Smith in the middle. Man to man on the corners and let the safeties come up and dare them to run it. At least use it on first down.

Expect to see a lot of the blitz Saturday...

I don't see it being our base defense. Maybe on a short yardage situation or a 1st down or two.

The 5-2 leaves you open to big passing plays and (oddly enough) a touchdown run if the rb makes it through the line. Remember Thomas Jones busting off a touchdown run on Tech in Hamilton's senior year? I believe it was 3 and 1 against a 5-2 defense. (I could be wrong in my recollection. Correct me if I am).

We will definitely load up some to stop the run, but I fear Auburn's passing game is not as inept as so many seem to believe.

I believe our best chance is to throw a lot of short 1st down passes for 5-7 yds. to take the pressure off of 3rd down conversions. This is not to be confused with an east-west dink strategy. I'm talking about slants, quick-outs, and TE routes. Early success with this will also help the running game. THWG
