Anybody have penalty stats?

Weren't there only like 4 or 5 penalties between the teams the entire game?

I remember hearing they were Big 10 guys.

Tennessee had 2 penalties for 20 yards, we had 4 for 37. Big 10 refs. I think the first penalty of the game was the roughing the kicker for TN on the PAT in 3rd quater, and then they had a false start later.

The only penalty of any impact I can recall was the illegal block that pretty much killed a drive. Also had a PI-type holding and a PI that were legit and probably didn't change the ultimate outcome of the offensive series for Tennessee.

No. The PI-holding call was when they had the ball 2nd and 6 from the 11 yard line. Kelly took a ball fake and DL (forgot who) tried to tackle him. That should be a no call there IMO. If you don't get that call its 3rd and 6 deep in your own territory. Not saying we stop them, but getting the ball taken out to the 21 for you gives you alot of breathing room, and that was a TD drive for them.

Everyone in my section thought the holding call was going to be intentional grounding, they were pissed when it ended up being called against Tech.
