So first off. Happy Thanksgiving to all, no matter team, creed, or location. This is a time to remember and be thankful that we live in a country where we can afford to worry about college rivalries instead of where our food is coming from.
That sincerely said, is anyone else getting antsy for Saturday/already drunk on hate for pups, despite needing to share a meal with pup inlaws on Thursday?
I'm ready to go, work is done, now I allow the hate to begin to creep from its cage and feed the beast that has hungered for too long. This week brings out the worst in me, and the best in me, and I'm ready for toe meeting leather one more time.
We very well may lose, but I have not given up on this team yet. So ahead of giving Thanks for all the blessings in our lives, I raise the following beseechment to the mercilous football gods:
Oh great choosers of victory. When thoust turnst thine eyes upon the oldest of your cathedrals on Saturday, we beg upon you to smile upon the humbler of thine servants, the men in White and Gold. We ask of you to let thine glory emmenate from the gold of our helmets, that we may better reflect your awesomeness. When battle is met, and the fields are covered in red, we say from our lips to thine ears: let the arrogant be humbled, let the red demon with his guileful tongue be silenced, let light shine forth from the first permanent home of your collegiate calling as Yellow Jackets Swarm in glorious victory. Let the question sung from the rooftops be "What's the good word?!?!" And the answer be sending the dogs to a hell of their own making. For victory we bessech thee. AMEN
What's the good word?
What's the good word?
What's the good word?
How bout them dogs?
Happy Thanksgiving, God bless, and go Jackets! THWg
