Good point. Even though Shockley led them to 9 first half points, his awful second half performance against our adjusted defense could be a foreshadowing of things to come for the dawgies.

If, however, he looks like a quarterback next September, there is such a thing as quarterback development.

It's presumptuous to bank on Shockley's being their heir apparent at QB. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he's still riding the pine next year. Someone else will emerge in the Spring.
