PayneTech gets folks riled up

Personally, I'm glad to be in the ACC at this point. This conference has been good for us. But I really feel we need to seriously look at expansion.

Anyway, the link is interesting, with all the talk of the SEC and stuff. What do the people on this board think about Tech going to the SEC?

I'd see it as a mistake. We get more revenue being in the ACC and we're in a conference without a hint of scandal and that's academically elite. I love our history with some SEC schools, but I don't ever see us being invited in or accepting an invite.

It should be evident the SEC is constantly breaking and not living by the rules. I had rather be in a relative clean conference than one that has no pride in integrity.

Actuaally, that is the reason we left the SEC. Dodd refused to use their recruiting criteria of taking in 45 recruits and then running 15 of them off at the end of each year. He claims it was not fair to the athletes. I agree with his thoughts and am glad he took a stand against it.
