Anyone surprised at Tenuta interviewing in Lincoln?

I'd sure like him to stay, but you knew when he came here it was 90% sure he would be gone after 1 year.

I'm sure people will say "he's not gone yet", but his track record would lead one to say he would not be around long.(Ok '95, Oh St. '96-2000, DC in 2000, UNC 2001, GT 2002). PLus the rumor has been around for a while that he is trying to get an NFL job as well.

I would much rather have a young hard working TECH man that is a good and improving coach and an excellent recruiter than a one year wonder.....if you can call giving up 51 to ugag a wonder.

I finally agree with beeware. Lets get the Roof back. We need his recruiting expertise.
 
Looks like the favorite is the LB coach from Green Bay. Tenuta may just be a courtesy interview. Corndawg rumor is that Solich is ironing out the deal with the guy (Bo Pelini?) at the moment and an announcement will be made no later than this weekend.
 
Looks like the Nebraska folks are not too thrilled about Tenuta. I thought he did a good not a great job with the defense better than Roof. However, if he's going to job hop like this, it may be better for him to go. He better be careful. He may job hop himself into being the DB coach at North Montana.

Beeware is right. Tenuta has 0 allegiance to Tech, a school considered a stepping stone job by most. Roof is a Tech man, and has hopes of being our Head Coach one day.

Beeware is correct, but I am sure he will change his tune when he sees all this agreement!

Do not think Roof is the man at this time. We still need a proven DC.
