Anyone think we will see more of Nesbitt and less of Bennett in the next few games? I know we've all talked about putting Nesbitt in the game more & allowing him to do more than just run it...in this article it says that Nesbitt had 2,500 plus yds of throwing in his senior year...Oh wouldn't that be nice to see a bit of an air attack. See details here:

However, Gailey doesn't really say for certain one way or the other...kinda admits it's possible but says it henges on Josh's ability to acquire the knowledge of the playbook & learn game management....
"SO YOU SAYING THERE'S A CHANCE!"

ok had to reply to get the 666 off of my screen name....GO JACKETS! I hope they really come out HYPED up and ready to roll!

Is Nesbitt an option? Sure. I loved that Tebow-esque self-play-action play we ran last week except for the part where he missed James Johnson. I think we continue to use him in that role. As bad as Taylor was last week, I still don't think Nesbitt is ready for prime-time yet.

That said, considering our opponent this weekend I sure do hope Nesbitt gets plenty of playing time.

Reminds me of Bilbo (who approves of my house paint, btw). The were constant rumors that he would step in, but it never really happened.

And then, of course, Bennet and Reggie. Gailey doesn't switch QBs easily.

"It'll be a change-of-pace deal," Gailey said before adding about Nesbitt: "We'll continue to give him the package, and if it looks like there's a spot where he may get more than that, then we'll take that opportunity."

That means status quo.

Honestly, I'm sick of hearing about it.

Either yank Bennett and make Nesbitt the starter or leave him on the bench. Enough of this one series and out bs.

Bilbo was named the starter for the Fresno Bowl (whatever the hell that was) but other than that, has Gailey EVER changed STARTER @ qb?

:eek5: :eek5: :eek5: :eek5:

My recollection is that Suggs started the game and played the entire first half.

On the last play of the first half with Tech on our own 25± yard line, Suggs was told to throw the ball away if he even saw a defender. Suggs instead telegraphed a sideline pass at which point a courteous Fresno St. defender, helped us out by catching the ball and carrying it into the locker room at halftime. By way of our own end zone.

Bilbo started the 2nd half.

Bilbo did not start in Fresno. Gailey just got so extremely pissed off at Suggs for that pick-six he benched him at halftime and said 'to hell with it, it's Bilbo or nothing.'

I don't know if I'd compare TB to AJ. A cloud seemed to hang over Suggs and I felt like if he didn't seem brilliant from the get-go, we were doomed. And D-Bo was hardly a step-up.

But by the same token I wouldn't compare Bilbo to Nesbitt. Bilbo seemed kind of skiddish and out of place under center, much more at home as a WR.

I don't want to see Josh made into a WR by any means. I like TB alot but unless the light comes on soon, I wouldn't be against Nesbitt taking over if that's what will help us win.
