The SEC teams haven't had a chance to rack up any impressive victories over the SEC yet, give it time. Clemson and FSU each have one, as does Wisconsin. I guess you could say the SEC is directly responsible for 4 of the teams in the top 10. #relevant

Yep. Much like entropy, the average ranking of the SEC must increase. If they did a round robin and everyone was 3-3 in their division, the AP would put the entire conference in the top 25.

You're joking, but look at the rest of the AP 25. That's what they are setting up. 7 of the 15-25 is SEC, including two teams with losses. So the are all set to get quality wins over Top 25 teams going forward.

What made you think I was joking? There's a reason computer polls weren't allowed within a mile of the playoff selection process. $$$

Exactly right. Ridiculous.

I wouldn't worry about the SEC taking over the top 10. For one, there's way too much parity in the non-Bama portion of the conference. At the end of the day, they are all just Bama food, too. It'd be a miracle for any team from the East to find itself undefeated going into the championship game, and an even bigger miracle for any non-Bama team to escape play in the West with just one loss to Bama. It's going to be an ACC Coastal kind of year over there.

I'm sure ESPN will break out the SEC Wheel of Destiny.

Bama is in a class of its own this year. I don't foresee anyone beating them out of the West or the SECCG. In the end, it will probably be another year of 1 loss and a championship game victory that paves the way for the final four.
