When our only wins this year are against Miami, Clemson, and Georgia, the AP will have no choice but to discontinue its rankings. Only then will the UPI rise from its grave and release the article which ends the world.

And if we beat a Richt Miami along with the rednecks and the idiots, no doubt many of us would be happy to die on that note even with nine losses.

I just don't see how, after all is said and done, Urban is going to be able to apply the necessary opulent cruelty to his team to keep them in the playoff chase this season, assuming he survives the investigation tomorrow, which seems like a safe assumption.

Which school are the rednecks and which school are the idiots?

If you think our Peach Bowl against LSU was bad, I was at the Miami/LSU one. Miami players thuggishly started a fight in the pregame. LSU finished the fight on the field.

I assume a few voters just toss a vote at their alma mater.
yes the singles would probable be that, and Northwestern, as I think there Journalism school has spawned a number of sportswriters, but that FAU bullshit with 38 votes is pure Lane Kiffen idiocy

And now, just for fun, what is the highest ranked team that will drop completely out of the top 25 when the final rankings come out?
If Urban gets canned, I'll say Ohio State. If not, then Notre Dame, just on a hunch. Who is your pick?

Urban ain't going nowhere. I'll say Auburn, altho with the SEC bias they might lose four games and still be in the top 20.

Oklahoma is my pick. Big Game Bob gone, Baker Mayfield gone, Texas, TCU, OkSt, Iowa State on the up? Throw in a strong looking WVU, and the standard never-safe games against Kansas State and UCLA. Goners.
