Taking a look at all of the teams ahead of us that got points in the voting for AP:

20. Clemson (300) - Lost to Maryland
21. Vanderbilt (242) - BYE
22. Illinois (224) - Plays PSU tonight. Likely loss
23. East Carolina (201) - Down 11 to Houston mid 3rd
24. TCU (117) - Plays Oklahoma, likely loss
25. Fresno State (105) - up 1 on UCLA mid 3rd
Oregon (100) - Plays WSU - Likely win
Oklahoma St. (98) - Plays Troy - likely win
VT (63) - Plays Nebraska, one has to drop
Colorado (39) - Down bad to FSU, Mid 3rd
Nebraska (32) Plays VT, one has to drop
UConn (26) - Beat bad Louisville team
Tulsa (19) - Play Central Ark. Likely win
Miami (17) - Lost to UNC
Michigan State (14) - Beat Indiana
Georgia Tech (8) - BEST TEAM EVAR!!!!!!!

That is 15 teams ahead of us to keep us from being top 20 in the AP. 7 of these teams have lost or probably will. Another couple are close. I'm not saying we will be ranked, but we should be moving up due to the crappy performance of the teams above us. I think we go into Clemson ranked and we could be the favorite if we just take care of things against Duke and Gardner Webb.

I am still saying there is NO way Duke will beat us. Our D-Line will be raping their QB the whole game.

Edit: Duke also doing "good" just makes our team take it more seriously, and less likely to approach it like another Jacksonville State.

Duke beat up on the worst Virginia team in recent history. Duke may be better than years past, but they are not the monster they showed tonight. I also agree with GTFanJeff about this helping to keep the team focused on the win. Plus, we have two weeks to prepare for them versus their one week to prepare for a completely new offense.

By the way, thanks for the chart. Odd that we may move up to our highest position of the year during an off week. That's just how college football polls work I guess.

EDIT: Keep in mind the teams that beat the teams ahead of us will be bumped up (unless they were already ahead of us).
