Are cracks developing in Geoff’s plan?

Collins was hired to recruit his ass off and raise the talent level at Tech. For the first 1.5 recruiting years, he seems to have done just that.

This year seems different. Is it COVID related? Or are some fundamental flaws in Collins starting to become apparent?

If Collins can’t recruit, then we’re screwed. These coaches aren’t gonna out scheme anyone. Especially not Paterdude.

I didn’t know you started working for AJC.

Whole point is that Geoff’s used car dealer personality is gonna get really old real quick if he can’t back it up with wins on the playing field and/or wins on signing day. Pretty much all of our top targets for this year are choosing other schools at this point and we’re getting dudes with App State offers. Just like Paul Johnson.

Except for all his faults, Paul Johnson could run an offense.

it’s just an attempt by Diseqc to ruffle some feathers and he seems to be off form.

It will take him literally months to get back into top form once the pandemic has ended.

How is it just ruffling feathers?

Look at our competition. They’re getting commits from in our state that we wanted. Muschamp is floundering and still pulling our top of the list guys away from us. Mack is literally making Geoff his bitch.

And we’ve got a dude with a Waffle House cup.

Solid troll effort, I think.

Not outlandish to think the pandemic might hurt us more than some teams in the short term. We are building a brand whereas some teams are relying on an established one. And getting kids on campus is our bread and butter. Long term, recruiters can recruit. We aren't far behind Bama in the rankings, actually. Hard to judge anything right now.

Because it’s half assed unlike your usual work. It seems different this year? CNN might make you their chief editor with that level of analysis.

UNC will always pull in kids who don't want to attend classes

UNC has one player committed outside the state of NC, but it is the OT we wanted from TN.

Other than that, ya, I'm not sure how you can conclude anything but our recruiting is sucking ass so far this year. It can all change, but so far, we have a couple of tweeners and underrated (?) guys.

If I were a top level recruit, I would want to see what kind of improvement we make on the field this year. No way they're committing early. The time to worry about this recruiting class is much closer to signing day than April.
