According to an interview with Midshipman Jack McCain the son of our future President John McCain, he is suggesting his dad pick our Paul Johnson as Vice President.

Seems both John and Jack have a deep admiration for Paul Johnson. Can't link the article, but the son Jack mentions Paul Johnson as a great VP choice for his dad. He say's P.J. would help him carry Georgia. ;)

Ruh row shaggy.

Do we have a buyout clause that covers the Vice Presidency? :)

He has a hard enough time trying to convince people that his triple option offense will work in the BCS, and you expect him to convince the entire country that it would work in the White House? Would he try to get the military to adopt is as a new strategy in Iraq?

I say he sticks at GT for 4 years, then moves on after he has proved himself with several BCS championships :fingersx:

you lost me at "our future President," this is obviously a joke post

Not a chance, PJ is not taking a pay cut.:p

Incidentally, this is as good a reason as any to vote for a president. If McCain truly is a PJ fan, and he does get elected, maybe Tech can get some good press out of the deal.

vote for a president to help the press coverage for your Alma Mater???

might as well vote for the best-looking one..America really scares me, well at least Americans do

Hey, it's as valid a reason for voting someone as "because they're a republican/democrat." Probably better.

Can you imagine the calamity that would ensue if McCain/Johnson said "TO HELL WITH GEORGIA" to end a speech? That would be awesome...

I'd have to think that the votes gained in South Carolina, Tennessee, Alabama, and Florida would offset all the votes lost in Georgia.

Please insert the lemmings picture here.:laugher:

The air force would seek to transfer immediately to another country if Johnson were named VP.

No, this is not a joke. There is a post on this subject on the hive.

The interview of Jack McCain did take place, and yes he did joke about PJ though. He and his dad John love PJ and he joked that PJ would be the best VP candidate.

For real, I was thinking if McCain does get the Presidency, it would be nice having the most powerful man in the world pulling for our Jackets....We already have Belichick (Arguable the best coach in the game ) being a fan of PJ's...

Yes, would be neat.

or might as well vote for somebody's wife

or make an affirmative action hire of somebody who was a state senator a (very) few years back

Are there any Georgia state senators who would be good presidential prospects in 2012? It would be about the same thing.
