Army vs Green Ripple Thread

2 possessions in 30 minutes. Tulane gonna have nightmares for weeks after this game.

Notre Dame is sneaky good this year. Absolutely nobody talking about them.

They’ve only had 2 one-score games all season. The other 9 games they won by double digits in every one of them. Very impressive year with one major head scratcher.

Yeah, I think because they haven't lived up to the hype in recent years. That and the early season Northern Illinois loss has people writing them off
 
I know Army got drubbed by ND, but with a win over Navy their 12-1 is more deserving than Bama’s 9-3 with losses to Vandy and OU. This first year of the 12 team playoff the committee will get it right if no 3 loss team is in. If they pick a 9-3 SEC team they will make it look like this is a Big 10/SEC playoff with only a few extras allowed to get in. I hope they get it right.

Of the college football games I have watched this year (hint: only GT games) ND is the one team that beat the hell out of the Jackets. You may be onto something.
 
GT, Army, and Colorado were the only reasons to watch college football this year.
 
Very happy for Jeff Monken. A class dude. I've known him for a long time.
I think he'd like a shot at a P4 school as coach. But the folks at Army love him.

I remember specifically asking PJ one day which one of his assistants would make a good head coach. This was back in the late 90s.

A few years ago, a guy who had covered Georgia Southern as a stringer - he had left sports writing as a full time gig years before to get into insurance but kept writing on the side - lost his home in a fire. He and his wife were the caretakers for their grandchild. They lost everything.
A few days later a big box shows up from West Point, NY. It was full of Army football apparel for them to wear.
