Remember when we said Colorado split its national title with Georgia Tech in 1990? That’s the last time the Yellow Jackets were national champs. They also finished No. 1 in 1917, 1928 and 1952.

The Yellow Jackets have actually made the ACC Championship game four times (2006, 2009, 2012, 2014), winning it in 2009. They can absolutely get back to that level.

A national championship isn’t happening though, particularly when the school runs the triple option. It is a fun offense, but not the kind that attracts recruits and wins championships anymore.

That don't make no sense.

They've had historical success.
They've had very recent championship level success.
They won't ever win a natty because the head coach and the offense at this very narrow moment in time.

Any school that has already notched 4 MNCs can sure as hell win another one.

And three of those ACC championship games occurred while running this offense. We were much closer to a national title in '14 than any year since actually winning one.
 
Another moronic offseason article. And I hate Tennessee, but to put them on this list is also absurd and was clearly done to troll a large fan base for extra clicks. He says it's because they play UGA, Florida and Bama every year. Because yes, Saban is going to live/coach forever and nothing in the college football landscape ever changes whatsoever. lol

GT would have a better chance to win a NC without the 3O. Our chances would improve from “no way in hell” to “when hell freezes over”. I’d be very happy with top 25 fairly consistently, top 10 every once in a while.
