A month ago or so, we were hoping for Burnett, Peters and Lewis.

At that point in time.....we would have all been ecstatic to get two of them.

If we can hold till next Wednesday......we will

Congrats to the coaching staff for a great recruiting year.

Now bring em home!!!

Beat down on the mutts coming Nov.24!!! Go Jackets!!

I will take 2 out of 3 any day especially when you have these recruits to choose from.

Just remember, stars don't mean anything. remember Hobie. Remember Keith. Now I think stars mean a lot. I'm just saving someone else from having to remind us of this. Oops, since we are signing star prospects this year, this may not be the rule this year.

I'd Say 2 Out Of 4

Which is still awesome.

A month ago it was Burnett, Edwards, Peters, with Lewis under the radar.

Any other year, we would expect to whiff in that group, and be delighted with one. This year we got two, and went to sudden death with the third.

We held our own against the best teams and best recruiters in college ball.

Oh, and as far as stars, they mean something but not everything. Calvin Johnson was a five star. Titus Nelson was a two star. The race is not always to the swift nor the battle to the strong… but that’s the way to bet! I think we can take 2 and 3 star kids, coach them up, and win more games than we lose (and we have), but you want 3 to 5 star kids to consistently put you in the championship race.

Lets hope character means more than stats do, because I'm really happy with every quote I've heard from every recruit we've gotten so far.

Amen. I haven't heard a single "thug" quote from any of them (referring to Miami of course). There hasn't been a "dog" spoken yet. So far they all look upstanding and should cause no problems in or out of the classroom.

Well, I like to think we can "coach-up" 4-star recruits into unstoppable football machines :fingersx:

I agree Jeff. Seems like it could be the factory schools think they can just plug and play with their yearly crop of 5 star recruits.

We definitely have had to coach up in so many cases.
Hopefully, the coaching up sticks with the more highly touted athletes.

CJ was evaluated by insiders.com as being (this is an accurate quote, even though its from memory) "UNGUARDABLE at the high school level."

Goes to show that some recruiting agencies do better homework than others.
