Mark Bradley has a penchant for getting under my skin more than any other "sports writer" for the AJC. I have to say though that the write up for todays UGA vs Vandy game in the AJC had me snickering quite a bit. From the post article comments, it seems that he struck a nerve with the UGA fans with his last paragraph in the article::laugher:
"Domination isn’t a requirement for winning a championship, but at some point a great team has to prove its greatness. Georgia will have that chance these next two weeks against the past two BCS titlists, but I’m starting to wonder if the team that I believed possessed everything it needed indeed has what it takes. Heck, I’m starting to wonder if Georgia is the best team in Georgia"
On another note, even though it wasn't pretty at times, our boys and our coach did what it took to come away from Death Valley with a win and in my eyes that's a huge accomplishment no matter how good or bad Clemson's team is supposed to be. I was really worried about Nesbit after him not taking a game time snap for almost a month. You have to expect that he's gonna be rusty....and he was, but he also showed why he's the man that needs to be running the offensive ship right now. His intangibles far outweigh his negatives. Our O-line is definitely a work in progress, but I expect them to slowly, but steadily, improve. I'm sorry, but I've drank a whole gallon of the Paul Johnson Kool-aid. We've got us a damn ball coach guys and I've never been more proud of my team than i am right now. We're gonna have some ugly moments, but I can live with that as long as our coaches and players don't quit! So far, I couldn't be more pleased. It's damn good to be a Jacket! What's the Good WORD?
