Despite beating rival Arizona on Saturday, Todd Graham did not save his job. Arizona State fired its football coach on Sunday.

The Sun Devils beat Arizona 42-30 to finish the regular season 7-5 and 6-3 in the Pac-12.

The school said in a statement that Graham and his staff will stay on through the team's bowl appearance.

Graham, 52, went 46-31 in six seasons in Tempe, winning 10 games in both 2013 and 2014. He is 2-2 in bowl games. :chad:
 
That is nuts. What does their fanbase think of that?
 
This is strange to me. He seemed to regain the confidence of his team in the second half of the season.

I know many wanted him fired very early on but after the UW and Utah wins they were like...hold on maybe...
 
that dude should slide right into whichever Oregon team is missing a coach now..

I went to Rice for grad school so I have some inside baseball here, he had a great year at Rice in 2006 and asked to have his contract reworked. Admin was agreeable since he had given them their first bowl game in 40 some odd years. In the new contract he wanted the number of years lengthened but the buyout reduced, okay. The NEXT day he leaves for Tulsa, two weeks before signing day. Just treated people like crap while he was there but he was winning so it was the price to be paid.

He did the same thing to Tulsa when let left for Pitt. When he left Pitt, after one year, for ASU he lied about the job to Pitt. He kicked the guy from the Pitt AD off his front porch and then took a flight to AZ and never addressed his Pitt team and refused to discuss it with anyone at Pitt. He's basically Petrnio without the likability.

Tennessee and Arkansas ADs should be dad fighting on PPV to get that guy's cell number. That is not a firing record in the PAC 10. There must be more to the story.
