Auburn and Paul Johson

Forde said Jimbo and PJ were on the short list for Auburn. Thats about as detailed as he got so there isn't much else we can conclude from the situation.
 
They said he was one of the top two prospects.

My take on the situation is PJ will listen, take offers, and stay at Tech, probably getting a raise out of the deal.

He is no idiot and he LOVES where he is at now.
 
What exactly does this "short list" mean? Does CPJ have to agree to be on this "list"? Or is it just a list of coaches Auburn would offer to?
Technically, couldnt Santa Claus, Mr. T, and the Easter Bunny be on Auburns short list?
 
Wow. All the message boards are going craxy with rumors now. PJ needs to come out and say something if he doesnt this will hurt recruiting.

We don't know. He didn't say what side the interest was coming from. They did say Leach was offered a 2.4M a year to stay at TT and he would probably take it. So he is off the "short list".

Agreed. I think it would be a little ridiculous to give him a raise after one year. If he is really going to jump for a pay increase after one year, we should probably let him, because it means he'll do the same thing again a year or two down the road. Somehow it just doesn't seem like something he would do though. He's not Nick Saban or Bobby Petrino(:puke:).
 
remember he turned down more money from SMU to come to GT and I don't believe he's going anywhere anytime soon
 
Also, he's getting 2M+ when it's all said and done (I would think).

How much more could AU give him?
 
No reason to need to be put at ease. He's not going anywhere after one year. AU would owe us over 9 million dollars for the buyout.
 
He's not leaving. Auburn is just being a typical SEC team: douchebags.
 
PJ is OUR coach. Auburn will end up reaching on a coach and regret firing Tubs.
