Since no one has played a game yet it's hard to say how good either team will be, but on paper we don't match up well against them. From everything I've read they are a big, physical team with an exceptional power running game. Having an unproven quarterback is our biggest weakness, but I don't think I'd get much argument if I said that defensive tackle is our second biggest weakness. I think if we played them later in the year we'd have a better chance. By then I'm hoping that our offense will have gelled and we will have found some defensive lineman physical enough to at least tie up the offensive linemen long enough for our linebackers to make a tackle. I think our best hope for the Auburn game is that they come out flat. Given that they have the big opener with USC, and that they are probably well aware of the wretched way we ended last year, and that most of the players are too young to remember the rivalry, and that we're the home team, I think there is a real chance of them not being at their sharpest. If we can get off to a good start and gain some confidence and our home crowd is loud, we could very well pull it off.
