If the other team cannot stop the run w/8 guys near the line of scrimmage, why do anything else? Offensive gameplan was very good. Simple and effective. If your offensive line is blocking that well, why would you not run the ball down their throats? If the other team knows it is coming and they STILL cannot stop it, why not keep running it?Originally posted by ahsoisee:
Of course, when it became evident we were going to run Ace on every first down, Carolina would assign players to blitz and go for Ace. We were running some clock, but that is still making it too easy for the defense.
Tenuta is beginning to worry me, big time. It seems he has all our backs in prevent defense all the time. They are not playing the receivers close enough. They should play the receivers close and when the quarterback is having pressure placed on him, the backs should step in front of the receivers, ready for the interception.
We are going to get killed when we play Rivers, and some of the other good quarterbacks.
