I do not know who Bubba Ragan is, but he should have gotten his letter to the Macon Telegraph retracted before it got published today, especially after what happened on Saturday with FSU and Jaybo.

I am a diehard Tech fan; always have been, always will be. However, I wonder if Paul Johnson is afraid of dissension among his players. He has a white quarterback who has proven himself, yet he stayed with a black quarterback who was sacked numerous times, threw an interception, fumbled the ball and appeared to be out of sync, yet was never replaced. What happened to a change of pace, stand on the sideline and see what is going on out on the field?
For whatever reason, he stayed with this quarterback and he allowed his team to lose to a team they were favored to beat by 14 points.
I understand the importance of sticking with your man, but Johnson also has a responsibility to the team, alumni and the institution to put the player on the field who has the best chance to win.

I'm surprised that got printed in a newspaper. Usually things that asinine are only found on message boards.

The O-line was blown up against Virginia. Any minimal analysis would have shown there was hardly anything Nesbitt could have done on most plays.

Our country is going to hell in a hand basket because of morons like this.

I don't know, but back in highschool I decided to get a perm, and one of my Uncle Bubbas (I had two at one time--I kid you not) kept calling me "Le-roy" until my hair grew out straight again.

Bubba Ragan is just a codename. His real name is JEFF from OHIO.

I think you're on to something there gth. It's about time we hear from J-O --usually checks in with his banter around the beginning of Bball season.

Guys, I have to disagree with this Bubba guy because I think Nesbitt is the best player for the job regardless of 'knowing how to run the offense stuff'. Nesbitt does enough of the offense right that his throwing arm and his ability to stick his helmet in a LB's chest (which there is no way Jaybo is going to get away with that) make him the better player, not to mention CPJ doesn't impress me as the type of guy who gives a crap about team dissension because of primadonnas getting mad. Not at this point with the program starting anew under him and having another coach's players in here. We'll see how he handles that type of situation in 3 or 4 years.

However, I think it is wrong to automatically throw someone under the bus and call them, basically, a Klansman and say stuff like 'It's guys like this that are what's wrong with this country!' just because they suggest that reverse racism exists. It does, and white people have every right to open up discussion on it and resist it. If the media can constantly harp on the fact that 'there aren't enough black coaches' then why can't the question be made as to why there aren't more white players and why do some positions seem to be completely off limits to them? And if the media can make a big hullabaloo about 'How much percentage of the vote is Obama automatically losing just because he's black?', but not say a peep in regards to how much of the vote McCain might lose because he's white, especially in light of the fact that polls show that African-American voters are overwhelmingly 90+ percent in favor of Obama, how is there not a double standard there that works against whites. Stop falling all over yourselves to prove how liberal and non-racist you are.

And Nesbitt is the better QB IMO regardless of race.

Once again i'll say...
how many national championships has this guy won? How many has PJ won? Who do I think makes the best decisions about GT? That is easy!

I think the point is, if you use the name Bubba, you invite the stereotypes.
