are you guys aware that if you compare RB's stats in his first two years to Matthew Stafford, RB's are equal or better in virtually every category???

some ammo against the pups, and also maybe to get you guys of the bashing of former SAs. he actually worked his butt off, and tried REALLY hard, sometimes too hard it seemed

although i do think this post is funny!

But, but, Matthew is the Messiah, the real-life second coming! Everything Matthew touches becomes holy. He puts his statistics on the back burner so that his teammates will shine and get the glory. Otherwise, he'd be a 4-time Heisman winner by the time he leaves the side of St. Richt. However, Matthew is the backbone of Glory Glory U. He will put the weight of the entire Dawg Nation on his back and lead them to the MNC promised land.

interesting

That's just a jersey that will hang in the equipment room. There's probably 15 of 'em, put in a frame just like that, hanging on the walls of the equipment room now.

The most important stat that matters is W-L. Reggie worked his ass off just like the other guys, it just didn't pan out.

Are you sure it's not just a picture of them unveiling the new jerseys?

The OP knew what it was. It was just a joke - that I thought was hilarious. And while I don't want Reggie to come back for another year (we have Nesbitt and Jaybo), I hope he kills 'em in Detroit and proves all of us wrong.

Of course that's what it is, but seriously it will just hang in the equipment room with the other plaques from the past 10 years or so.

I stand corrected then. I didn't realize they had jerseys hanging in the equipment room.

All of the framed jerseys in the equipment room have a bowl patch. I figured they hang them up at the end of the season to commemorate a bowl appearance.

In Reggie's defense his coaches never developed him im sure all that is going to change with the new coaches on board.

In Reggie's defense every other college coach that saw him knew he wasn't capable of being a D1 QB. Ours didn't.

They played him in the wrong position in the wrong scheme for 4 years.

ok, then PJ Daniels was not D1 material either since no other D1-A school recruited him as a TB, right?

you cant say things like that. first off, the facts dont back you up. Reggie won plenty of games for us that those "who know things" didnt give us a chance in, like AUBURN.

just b/c he was not a Joe Ham success, doesnt mean that you can say he wasnt qualified to play. we are talking about like 5 points in two of the UGA losses combined...

i dont understand why you all want to rag him so bad?!?!

Agree! Reggie was a damn good athlete and in PJ's offense would have been a perfect fit at QB for us.

Was he not recruited at other schools? Being a walk-on doesn't always mean he didn't have other offers.

He also lost plenty of games that those "who know things" thought we should have won. I'll trade both of those Auburn victories for either a win over UGA or the ACCCG. I'm pretty sure every Tech would be with me on that.

He was very qualified to play . . . safety or cb. Chan Gailey ROBBED Reggie Ball of a shot of being an NFL draft pick by not putting him in the position that would have allowed him the most success. He was strong, athletic, and nasty, but lacked the personality and the decision making ability to play QB in a pro style system. We had the only coach that would actively recruit a 5'9" running QB to play in a pocket passing offense.

That's what I mean by the wrong position in the wrong scheme. If Reggie had been able to break some poor WR's ribs every time they came over the middle, we all would have been happier.

and as you saw last year, Reggie, despite his flaws was BY FAR the best option for Georgia Tech at Quarterback. it would have been nice to put in Vince Young or Matt Leinart, but those guys just werent available!
