Every year to top talent goes to an increasingly smaller pool of schools. Bama is literally an NFL team now. When will this positive feedback loop break? The CFP has totally failed college football IMO. Expand it to 8 teams so the talent will at least spread back out a bit.

B

Saban will stay on long enough to pass the Bear by 1 championship. By then, Tech will have risen enough to stave off UGA for another 40 years.

All hail Saban!!!!
People can say what they want about the fact that he is the literal antichrist, come to prepare the throne of the Devil for his imminent arrival, heralding an age of unimaginable suffering. The fact is, he earned our support that night in Atlanta. By preventing Georgia from winning a national championship, he saved the world from a fate much worse than the millennium of unending anguish which he's here to usher in. The fact that he stopped them in such immortally humiliating fashion just proves there is good in him after all.

This is factually incorrect.

Nick Satan did not save the free world on 4th and 26th. God did.

This is sadly true.

Rich get richer.
But look at it like this. Only 22 can start. We might get some transfers along the way. The ones not making as much $$$$.

8 teams would only be a sliver better than 4. The selection process is the problem. We took a step forward with the CFP, and five steps backward when we ditched two polls and six computer rankings in favor of a 13-person committee who has a direct financial interest in who plays.

They waste no time reversing themselves. Conference championships matter, and then they don't. Whatever gets the revenue-pumping chosen ones in.

If the 4-team format stayed, but the committee was replaced with the old BCS computers and you only accepted the top-4 conference champions, there would be fairness, transparency, an important regular season, and a shot for everyone.

I mean it’s better than UGA getting them... Bama does this by spending much less than the dwags. At least less above the table.

What all the other P5 conferences need to be very concerned about is the recent additional monies put into the SEC ESPN contract. They are so far out in front of the other leagues it is ridiculous. Programs like Bama, LSU are going to have advantages anyway, but putting all the extra monies in the coffers of many of the lesser programs is a concern.
The recent hire of Phillips, to replace the woefully inept Swafford, May be a step in the right direction. As much as I dislike them, it may be imperative the ACC entices Notre Dame full time to help even the playing field money wise

Preseason rankings don’t work. They should be trashed and it should be against any media agreement of those who show CFB games to promote or talk about them.

ESPN, CBS, Fox, and NBC shouldn’t be allowed to reference directly or indirectly on any of their media platforms (no analysts, hosts, talking heads, pundits, reporters, or announcers). For example, ESPN can’t formulate their own Top 25 or even talk about someone else’s.

This SEC/OSU quality loss non sense is CFP poison. The committee is biased and poisoned before they even rank anyone at Week 8.

Has Alabama produced a NFL quarterback since Namath? I actually put together a NFL team of Bama players from the last four years and it wouldn’t win a game. They produce a lot of nfl talent but a majority aren’t even first stringers.
