I think we can easily win the Coastal again this year. The all-pivotal game will be none other than the Thursday night showdown against VT.

Do any of you think that Demaryrius Thomas can be as good as the article said? I have no idea, I was hoping some of you who have been to the practices could give your opinion...

BeBe is the real deal. He' another physical type receiver. He catches the ball with his hands and not in close to his body. He'll continue the Calvin tradition of catching the fade pass in the red zone.

Mike Knobler did the actual write up on Tech even though Tony B. had the byline.

We are going to rule this coming season but these dudes are just a buncha joints.

The website, edsbs.com, has an online radio program every week and Barnhart was on last week. Tech came up and he said that he's in the process of "reevalutating" Tech. He says that he didn't give them proper attention earlier in the preseason and that he's impressed with all they have coming back, as well as our new OC. He also said that Tech had one of the most "optimistic" springs this summer, or STTE.

Barnhart also mentioned that he went to Georgia. So, for you AJC-haters out there, there's some meat for you conspiracy theories.
 
I think Barnhardt is one of the only AJC sportswriters worth reading. He's very talented, very thorough, doesn't write hack jobs and doesn't pander to handwaving freakoutery. I also think the radio show he did with Wes Durham on 790 the last couple of years was some of the best and most informative media I've heard on southeastern college football.

Easily probably isn't the right term to use there. There won't be anything easy about VPI this year. I think Miami has lost too much, but they could get it together by the time they play us in Florida. I still feel really good about our chances this year.
