Based on first 6 games, what will we do for the last

6 games? I would really like to hear by some very thought provoking Tech fans, what they truly believe our record will be for the last 6 games and why? Brief and to the point if you can.

I have my thoughts and feelings but would like to read other diehards for analysis.
Thanks.

Here is what I predict....

I think we'll pull a major upset (either F$U or UGAG to be specific) and I also believe we'll lose another game which we shouldn't lose (pick one: MD?, NCSU?, maybe even Dook), at least IMO.

I think considering the above, we'll have a winning record and go bowling, but we won't make the Gator - who knows what it will be at this point.

Lose to Maryland,FSU, NC ST, Georgia, beat Duke ...Virginia is a tossup only because it is a home game. Final record will be 6-6 at best and probably 5-7. Gailey and entire staff should be canned...but it won't happen because we cannot afford the buyout. I predict a mediocre recruiting season and we will be back on the Bill Lewis---Bill Curry path to being a consistently poor ACC team. I sure hope Gailey proves me wrong but based on what I have seen so far, that is my opinion I am sorry to say.

We will beat UMd, UVA at home, NC State on the road and Dook at home.

We have a chance at winning one out of UGA-FSU.

Worst case scenario I think we will be 7-5.

Best case scenario is we will run the table and be in Jax for New Years.

If I had to make a prediction i'd say we go 9-3 and still end up in the Gator Bowl.

Ditto yellowjacket's prediction.

We will lose to Maryland, and it will be downhill from there.

Boy, it's really hard to make any educated guesses with this team, its injuries, and its coaches. The only teams that I know can flat out stomp us with talent and coaching are FSU and UGA. So the best is 8-4.
.
Only guarantee wins are Duke and Wake Forrrr.....oops, I mean Duke....I think. Well, on the safe side, let's say the worst we do is 4-8.
.
Take the average, and you got 6-6, a crappy recruiting winter and Katie bar the door next Fall!!!!

BOO

I'm not sure who we beat or who we lose to. But I'm thinking somewhere in the 8-4 range.

I don't look at anyone on our schedule as a certain loss though. There are no great teams on our schedule. It all depends on us, I think. If our D can stiffen up to the pre-Wake level, we can keep them all close. The big ? is the QB and what BOB will do to get the situation right. So far, I'd say this year has exposed BOB as a less than great coordinator. Also, we really need a QB coach. Hopefully, CG will address that after the season.

I'm not sure what the record will be, but I know what the Bowl will be: Queen City in Charlotte.

Turns out I foolishly made wedding plans for Dec 28, and because of Murphy's Law, I'm going to end up putting my friends into the unfortunate position of having to miss it.

Everyone can go ahead and make travel reservations now.

I really think its difficult to call... but the game with MD is key to the remainder of the season... win at MD, get a little execution and confidence at QB, a little better prep by the coaching staff and we could go 4-2 or 5-1 over the next 6 games... I do think we can beat any team that remains on our schedule, but think that next Thur will be key ... lose to MD and I say 5-7 to finish the year...

Calderman420, you sure left yourself wide open for some pretty good remarks in your second sentence.

By the way, what does calderman420 mean? It is an unknown term to me.

Here is my take:

Maryland Loss
Viroginia Win
NC State Loss
Duke Win
FSU Loss
UGA Loss

Final record 6-6. I hope I am wrong but that is just my feeling at the moment. We can win them all and we can lose them all. The way we are playing, we are more likely to lose most of them. Regardless, I will be there cheering for the Jackets at each and every one of them.

Go Jackets!

Wha, who, huh? I'm not gay (see original post), what are you talking about, I don't have any idea what you're talking about, I mean, come on, just look at me. Not that theres anything wrong with that.

Heh, I said "screwing".

calderman420 is my name appended with the number 420 for good luck.

It's a little tough because we don't know how we will play. We all seem to think that we are capable of being better - the question is whether we will see it manifest in our play. If we play to our potential, I think we can end up 9-3. If we continue to play as we are, I think we'll probably beat Duke, period. Of course, if things go south and the team packs it in, we could also lose to Duke.

I don't see us getting better, and I don't see the team packing it in.

I think we end up at 5-7.

Well, b/4 the season I had a conversation with a Uga-ly friend. I went out on a limb;) and stated we'd probably finish up 7-5, or quite possibly 6-6. So, my expectations weren't as high as quite a few of those here or on the Hive. The new coaching staff and all had me somewhat worried.

But then along came TD-Tony and an improved D with Hargrove (reminds me of the Freak (Kearse)). I kept silent, but thought our chances at finishing #1 or #2 in the conference weren't unfounded. A 10-2 or 9-3 season looked most likely. But as quickly as it seemed we were destined for greatness, the rains came. And the injury bug hit us, and our leader now has a confidence problem. His throws and decisions are not sound, plus he's got a backup that is arguably The Future...or is that Kelly Washington's trademark?

To quickly wrap this up, we lose to Maryhadalttlelamb, NCSU and FSU.

We handle our bidness up in Athens and take the bite out of the pups! And carry momentum into Charlotte for yet another bowl.

THWG!!

I REALLY FEEL IF WE LOST AT MARYLAND, IT IS DOWNHILL FROM THERE AND MY GUT FEELING IS WE WILL LOSE. A LOSS TO MARYLAND AND WE GO 6-6 AND NO BOWL UNLESS IT IS IN SEATTLE.

I don't believe we will go in the tank if we loose to Maryland which is very possible. I believe our coaching staff will get the job done and we will go at the least 7 and 5 in spite of the obsticals we have faced injuries, defections and poor coaching decisions as well as mistakes by the players.

Calderman420, thanks for the information. By the way, you picked up on the magic word in your post. I noticed you edited it out of your original post.

We are headed straight for 5-7 unless something drastic happens. This based on the fact (1) that we have many upperclassmen on the team and they aren't going to get significantly better at this point and (2)the coaching staff have not shown that they have the flexibility to win tough games.
