I'm wondering how fast is BC's DL. And how well are they going to play late in the game after running sideline to sideline so much.

While they are built to stop a power running game, I wonder how well they play the edges.

Being a Green Bay fan, I remember the Packers DL massively outweighing Denver's OL. But the GB DL just wasn't built to stop the runs around the edge that were the bread and butter of Denver's playbook.

I was thinking the same thing.

I am actually more worried about playing quick, athletic DLines like ours, Miami, and UGay. Those DLines can get to gaps quicker and react quicker to the B-back mesh making the read harder for Nesbitt.
BC is bigger and stronger, but I think we can get to holes quicker and I think the read will be easier for Josh n Jaybo.

Thoughts???

Good story from CPJ's tenure at Georgia Southern in a playoff game in Statesboro vs. Florida A&M. Vastly different talent levels between the BC and FAMU, but the story bears repeating.

FAMU's DL was touted all week in the media as too big to run through, how would GSU fare against such a large DL, etc. For the first offensive play, CPJ calls a quick pass to the right sideline. FAMU's linemen run as fast as they can, while the play gains 8 yds. Second play, CPJ calls a quick pass to the left sideline. FAMU's linemen again hustle to the ball while the WR gains 8 or so yds.

Two or three plays later, the B-back takes one up the middle straight to the house. There was no looking back, the line was winded, and GSU rolled.

Not that we don't already know, but CPJ is aware of the opposition's weaknesses and will strategize appropriately. Here's hoping BC's D line is also big, but not in the best of shape for the second game of the season.

There tackles are huge(325+). They will not run sideline to sideline. They will attempt to break up the option by penetrating straight ahead. There ends are big (250+) and fast. I am really concerned about the tackles penetrating. Our O-line had a lot of trouble with this against Jax against much inferior talent. We need a huge improvement in O-line play this week
