As someone who never buys programs, I would definitely buy programs if the art was like this.

Thanks yall. Also, my little 9 year old sister said she wanted me to put hers up too. (She likes to draw one every week). She said the tiger drank out of the toilet and the yellow jackets are laughing at him.

I like your 9 year old sister's better. I would pay top dollar if the programs came looking like that.

Very good but can we make the fuse a bit shorter?

BTW, Jason Pierre-Paul says this cartoon is insensitive.

Maybe I've missed it, but has Wreck Em ever acknowledged that he's drawing these in Mike Lester's exact style from the early programs? Down the the smallest details. Just curious.

I don't see it.

And The Jacket's jihad continues.

Not really. I actually enjoy these a great deal. As I've said before, I've always had a special love for Lester's covers and I wish they'd bring them back. I'm just curious whether WE has ever acknowledged that he's doing a continuation of Lester's work.

He might have been impressioned by Lester's program covers as a kid. I don't think it's a mortal sin.

That's a bit more recent. Lester's early covers were more polished and his Buzz on the programs more closely resembled the official Buzz logo, which he created. Over the years, they became more like quick sketches, Buzz on the 2002 covers looks very different from the ones in the 80's and early 90's.

Ok, I LOVE Lesters stuff, collect any of his Tech stuff. But I never actually considered my art to be like his, as that would be a very difficult thing to do. He's a legend.

Which is why I asked a question out of curiosity, rather than calling him a hack. There wasn't any malice in my question.
